IntraLase FS™ retains significantly higher stromal bed quality as compared with Zyoptix® XP. When quantitatively analyzed using Scanning Probe Imaging Processor (SPIP) software, the stromal bed roughness of IntraLase FS was 20,238 (±1869) picometers vs. 26,368 (±8133) picometers for Zyoptix XP (p<0.03). When qualitatively measured by three independent and masked observers, the stromal bed roughness of IntraLase FS was 2.0 (±0.7) vs. 3.6 (±1.6) for Zyoptix XP (p<0.03).(1)
